When I try to login using the "Use Windows session authentication" checkbox I get the following error:.
The authentication server returned an unexpected error: ns0:RequestFailed: No such provider in tenant [vsphere. The error may be caused by a malfunctioning identity source.
The web client only allows a logon as root if you're at the [vcenter] page - this isn't the vsphere page. You shouldn't be logging into the vsphere webclient as root. It should be administrator vsphere. I found a link that referenced using SSH to manually stop the service; I did that and successfully changed the password.
Or so it indicated it did, but I cannot log into the web client with the new password I just set. This is frustrating I am now able to log into the web client with the administrator vsphere.
