I've even copied all the DLL's and the whole addins folder from another PC with the old version on office on it over to the laptop because it would complain about the next dll missing in the event long as I copied the last one over at which point the even log started complaining about missing registry entries!
How is copying a few files going to make that much difference? Deleting them will undo it easily enough? It's not working ok and there have not been any problems since.

FiOS Dan , Jan 25, Let's see how Nikilet responds. I never received any more notifications of answers to this problem so I just gave up on it and have been putting up with it. But it has continued and so I did a search and found this original post to Wilders. Under Office 10 there are several folders and all are empty.
The only folder that has anything in it is PowerPoint Viewer. I ran the autorun for Windows and looked through the Everything tab and didn't see anything labeled Microsoft Office or osa.
Nikilet , Apr 19, Nikilet, long time, no see; welcome back! OK, looks like Microsoft Office did not uninstall cleanly. If it does not, you can delete that Office folder but if the warning continues, then it's a Registry key.
Using the article that FiOS Dan provided, if you are comfortable with modifying the Registry make sure to back it up first and keep in mind that you are modifying it at your own risk , see if the 2 Registry keys, near the bottom of that article, are there and change the values to 0 zero and try CCleaner again. JRViejo , Apr 19, Things keep getting stranger. I didn't do as you said because my problem quit happening; however, other strange things are going on. Recently I started getting the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working" After restarting everything would be fine -- for a while. Then too, just before I would get this Explorer message my WinPatrol would beep like it does when it's going to show a pop up, but nothing would happen and then I'd get the Explorer message and my WinPatrol icon would disappear from the task bar.

I have downloaded Office as a IMG file and have run setup In Windows 10 Pro you can virtual add ISO and IMG file as drive letter and also both images have native support to be burned without using any other app. What info are you talking about exactly?
