To install the software, right click on it and Run as Administrator 4. I opted not to install the QuickBooks add-in 6. Let the install finish completely before you plug in the printer 7. Plug in the printer and turn it on 8. Right click on the Dymo icon on the desktop, and set it to also run in compatibility mode with Windows Vista and as an Administrator. It was a Turbo, model , which is NOT on the list of supported models. Makes it all the sweeter! But it WILL work with driver version 8.
I have a Turbo working on a USB 2. Try using the older driver if you only have a USB 3. Just upgraded to Windows 10 and now the Dymo will not print labels. I have upgraded software to 8.
The print request appears in the printer dialogue box but nothing is ever printed. After hours of searching on the internet for software for an old Dymo Labelwriter , I am very grateful that you have provided a free of charge link to the genuine Dymo software. It seems pretty generous to me - How many suppliers do you know that would replace a product upto 5 years old because it didn't work with new systems?
If you purchased a lawnmower that used leaded petrol a couple of years before they phased lead petrol out, do you think that the lawnmover manufacturer would replace it with and unleaded one for free?
Replacing a 5 year old product with a brand new, faster product seems like a pretty good deal to me. Maybe before you ditch Dymo you should ask their competitors if they will guarantee that in more than 5 years time their machine will work with whatever version of windows is out at that time, or replace the product with a new one.
