As mentioned before, the longer the words, the higher your score will be. In addition, the usage of scarce letters is beneficial for your score. The scarcity of the letter is indicated on the tile with the yellow dots in the right bottom.

The more yellow dots indicated, the higher score you obtain when using this letter. Finally, special tiles increase your score enormously, so always look for words using these tiles if possible.
